Please read these Terms carefully before using Laga. By creating an account, booking a workshop, or purchasing a gift card, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Laga is based in Oslo and operates under Norwegian and EU consumer law. Nothing in these Terms limits the mandatory rights you have under the Right of Withdrawal Act (angrerettloven), the consumer protection legislation, or the rules on gift cards. See section 5 (right of withdrawal), section 6 (cancellation), section 7 (gift cards) and section 15 (dispute resolution).
LAGA CO AS ("Laga", "we", "us") operates an online marketplace for creative workshops in Oslo, Norway. Laga sells these workshops to you as the seller and merchant of record: when you book, you enter into a contract with Laga. The workshops are delivered on Laga's behalf by independent professional hosts ("Artists" or "Hosts"), who act as Laga's suppliers. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our platform and form a binding agreement between you and Laga. By creating an account, booking a workshop, or purchasing a gift card, you accept these Terms. Provider details, in accordance with the Norwegian E-Commerce Act (ehandelsloven) and Marketing Control Act (markedsføringsloven):
Nothing in these Terms limits or removes the rights you have as a consumer under mandatory Norwegian law. Where these Terms conflict with mandatory consumer protection legislation, that legislation prevails.
When you book a workshop, the contract for that workshop is concluded between you and Laga, as seller and merchant of record. Laga engages an independent Host to deliver the workshop on Laga's behalf; the Host is Laga's supplier and is not a party to your contract. As the seller, Laga is responsible to you for the workshop in accordance with these Terms and mandatory Norwegian consumer law. The Host is responsible on the ground for the safe, professional delivery of the workshop and for holding the permits, licences and insurance its activity requires. Laga provides the marketplace, booking, payment and settlement infrastructure, takes reasonable care over how listings built from Host-supplied information are presented, and issues your receipt/invoice for the workshop.
You must create an account to book workshops, purchase gift cards as a registered user, or host on Laga. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and enter into a binding agreement. Laga may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or applicable law, subject to your statutory rights.
All prices are shown in Norwegian Krone (NOK) and, where you are a consumer, include value added tax (MVA) at the applicable rate. Before you confirm a booking you are shown the total price, including any fees, so there are no hidden costs. Payments are processed securely through our payment provider, Stripe. As the seller and merchant of record, Laga sells the workshop to you in its own name, charges you the full price and issues you a receipt in Laga's own name showing MVA per rate where applicable; payment is charged at the time of booking and the receipt is available to download from your profile. Laga purchases the delivery of the workshop from the Host at a price agreed between them. That purchase price is a matter between Laga and the Host, does not form part of your agreement, and does not change the total you pay as a Customer.
Under the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act (angrerettloven), consumers who buy goods or services online generally have a 14-day right to withdraw from the purchase without giving a reason. However, the Act (angrerettloven § 22) sets out exceptions, and one applies to most workshop bookings:
The statutory standard withdrawal form and full information about the right of withdrawal are available on request at support [at] laga.studio and on the Norwegian Consumer Authority's website (forbrukertilsynet.no).
For workshops booked for a specific date (which fall outside the statutory right of withdrawal, see section 5), the contractual cancellation policy shown on the workshop page, at checkout and in your booking confirmation applies. Each workshop uses one of three policies, chosen by the Host:
A valid cancellation outside the window triggers an automatic refund and releases your seats. Refunds are made to the original payment method within a reasonable time, normally within 14 days. This cancellation policy does not affect your statutory rights where a workshop is not delivered as agreed or is defective (see section 9).
Laga gift cards can be purchased online and redeemed against workshop bookings on the platform. The following terms apply:
Artists hosting workshops on Laga are independent businesses, not employees of Laga. Each Artist is responsible for:
If a workshop is not delivered, is materially different from its description, or is otherwise defective, you have statutory rights, which may include a price reduction, a substitute, or a refund. Because your contract is with Laga as the seller, you can raise any complaint directly with us, without undue delay after you discover the problem. Contact Laga at support [at] laga.studio and, as the seller, we will handle any refund or remedy due (coordinating with the Host as needed). These remedies apply in addition to, and do not replace, your rights under mandatory Norwegian consumer law.
Customers agree to:
After attending a workshop, Customers may leave a review. Reviews must be honest, respectful, and based on a genuine experience. Laga only publishes reviews from Customers who have actually booked the relevant workshop, and may remove reviews that are fraudulent, unlawful, or in breach of these Terms. By submitting content (reviews, images, descriptions), you grant Laga a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the platform; you retain ownership of your content.
Laga processes personal data in accordance with the GDPR and the Norwegian Personal Data Act (personopplysningsloven). For details on what we collect, why, and your rights, see our Privacy Policy.
Read our Privacy Policy.
As the seller, Laga is responsible for providing the workshop in accordance with these Terms and mandatory Norwegian consumer law; the workshop is delivered on Laga's behalf by an independent Host, who is responsible for its safe, professional delivery on the ground. To the extent permitted by law, Laga is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss arising from your own breach of these Terms or from the conduct of other users, or from circumstances outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory Norwegian law.
The Laga brand, logo, design system, and platform software are the exclusive property of LAGA CO AS. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our intellectual property without prior written consent.
If you have a complaint, contact us first at support [at] laga.studio so we can try to resolve it. If we cannot reach agreement, you as a consumer may bring the dispute to the following bodies, which can mediate or decide free of charge:
You may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. These options do not affect your right to bring the matter before the ordinary courts.
These Terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts, with Oslo District Court (Oslo tingrett) as the agreed venue. As a consumer, you may always bring a claim before the court of your own home jurisdiction where mandatory consumer protection law so provides.
Laga may update these Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Changes do not apply retroactively to bookings or gift cards purchased before the change. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
For questions about these Terms or your rights, contact us at support [at] laga.studio.
These Terms reflect Norwegian consumer protection law, including the Right of Withdrawal Act (angrerettloven), the Marketing Control Act (markedsføringsloven), the E-Commerce Act (ehandelsloven), and the rules on gift cards.
